Alsons Development and Investment Corporation (Alsons Dev) has donated a 20 kW solar energy system to Barangay Tugbok Proper, Davao City, to support the community’s use of renewable energy.
The donated system will augment the barangay’s existing solar power facility, which supplies electricity to the barangay hall. The additional capacity is expected to help manage electricity expenses more efficiently, potentially freeing up funds for other local programs.
Home to Alsons Dev’s latest housing development, Mahogany South, Barangay Tugbok Proper is among the communities the company supports through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. These include DepEd Adopt-a-School programs and activities at Tugbok Central Elementary School, such as Khan Academy and Brigada Eskwela.
The donation reflects Alsons Dev’s belief that sustainable development means finding practical ways to help
communities meet their needs, use resources more efficiently, and improve quality of life. It reinforces the company’s commitment to creating lasting value for the communities where it operates.
