Alsons Development and Investment Corporation (Alsons Dev) formalized its partnership with Davao Thermo Biotech Corporation (DTBC) through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of the Yellow Drum Project, an initiative to collect biodegradable waste from Alsons Dev offices and process it into organic fertilizer.

The partnership builds on Alsons Dev’s existing waste segregation practices by establishing a dedicated system for managing biodegradable waste through designated yellow drums in its offices. As a DENR-EMB-accredited service provider, DTBC will collect the segregated waste and process it into organic fertilizer, giving materials that would otherwise be discarded another use.

The initiative also gives employees a direct role in making the system work. By making proper segregation part of everyday workplace practices, the program encourages employees to separate biodegradable waste at the source and help ensure that it is properly handled.

The Yellow Drum Project is part of Alsons Dev’s continuing commitment to sustainability, starting with more responsible waste management in its offices. By strengthening these practices, the company continues to pursue practical ways to support environmental responsibility in its operations.
