DAVAO, Philippines — September 3, 2026 — With Davao’s economy reaching a PHP 1.14 trillion in 2025 across services, industry, and logistics, local enterprises face expanding supply chains and high demand for secure digital services. To support this momentum, Globe Business held its first-ever G Summit in Davao to introduce its Intelligent Transformation vision to Mindanao, bridging technology gaps to help regional organizations shift from fragmented IT systems to integrated, adaptive enterprises.

“Real intelligent transformation happens when every layer of your technology works as one–this is what we at Globe Business call Intelligent Transformation,” said Globe Business Vice President Glenn Estrella. “Bringing G Summit to Davao underscores our commitment to empowering Mindanaoan enterprises with the insights and technologies they need to reduce operational friction and support long-term, sustainable growth.”

From promise to proof: Powering Mindanao’s economic engine

Delivering the opening address, Globe Telecom Chief Commercial Officer Darius Delgado reframed this regional momentum, declaring that Mindanao has transitioned from the “Land of Promise” to a “Land of Proof”—making Davao a natural leg of the flagship event. Delgado highlighted that last year, five of Mindanao’s six regions outpaced national economic growth, with the island growing nearly half of the country’s food and securing PHP 3.1 billion in new BARMM investments. Because of these regional contributions to employment nationwide, Delgado emphasized that empowering these centers is an essential act of nation-building, with Davao’s businesses representing the national economy in its most dynamic form.

To sustain this growth, regional businesses must overcome the operational friction of long-distance supply chains and siloed technologies. GSummit addressed this by advocating for purposeful digital upgrades over random software adoption, demonstrating how systems like real-time tracking or payment APIs integrate directly into existing frameworks to enable critical data to flow securely from farm to port, linking growers, logistics providers, and trade financiers into a cohesive pipeline. This digital integration is backed by Globe’s long-term regional investments, including Davao-based data centers for localized enterprise data processing and extensive fiber networks built deep into areas like BARMM—proving that reliable connectivity is an unseen but essential act of nation-building. This physical network serves as the digital backbone for the interactive ‘Intelligence Stack’ experience rooms, where GSummit delegates stepped inside to witness these technologies in action.

Hands-on innovation with the ‘Intelligence Stack’

A first for G Summit this year, these interactive spaces were designed to provide hands-on access to deployable, future-ready enterprise technologies that would benefit Mindanao’s core industries.

In the Orchestrated Infrastructure room, leaders witnessed how Globe’s advanced optical network mitigates hardware failures and grid instabilities to protect uptime for Davao’s 24/7 IT-BPM hubs and high-volume agricultural packing facilities. This zone also previewed AI WAN, Globe Business’ predictive, self-healing network management solution, demonstrating how built-in intelligence can automatically mitigate service interruptions to keep critical agribusiness logistics and cold-chain monitoring systems online during network disruptions.

Moving to the API Hub, it showcased a zero-friction digital workflow powered by telco API authentication, automated identity verification, and credibility scoring capabilities. In Davao’s rapidly expanding real estate sector, these solutions can help developers and banks verify buyers faster to accelerate home loan approvals. They can also secure cross-region networks, enabling fintech startups to make remittance transfers safer for Mindanao’s migrant families.

In the immersive floor-to-ceiling projected digital grid at the Cyberheist room, executives experienced multi-vector threat simulations to explore proactive security measures that safeguard multi-region supply chains and digital transactions. This immersive demo focused on protecting sensitive customer and transactional data applicable to Mindanao’s growing digital footprint, from healthcare and tourism to local retail networks.

Completing the interactive tour, the Gemini Agent Force zone demonstrated how custom enterprise AI agents can solve local operational bottlenecks. These intelligent agents allow frontline teams in local BPOs, food and beverage operations, and homegrown SMEs across Mindanao to resolve customer inquiries and operational bottlenecks without delay.

“Mindanao’s economic landscape is growing at an incredible pace,” said Estrella. “Whether it’s an agricultural exporter optimizing supply chains, a logistics provider tracking cargo across regions, or a local tech hub expanding its footprint, our intelligent enterprise solutions provide the foundational strength required to safeguard operations and drive sustainable growth.”
