The Municipality of Tarragona distributed cash relief assistance to 800 beneficiaries on Thursday, June 4, under its crisis intervention program dubbed “Alalay sa Krisis.”

Municipal Mayor Kaka Bulaong said the initiative coincides with the celebration of the Ka’aNiYogan Festival and the town’s 60th founding anniversary, which will be held from June 12 to 18.

Mayor Bulaong emphasized that the welfare of the people should come first before any festivities. He assured residents that the local government will continue to prioritize the needs of its constituents, particularly those in vulnerable sectors, amid ongoing socio-economic challenges.

He added that the initial 800 beneficiaries mark the beginning of a broader relief assistance campaign, with more residents expected to receive support in the coming months.
