May 12, 2026 – Montefrio Garden Resort proudly unveiled its latest offerings in the scenic highlands of Kapatagan with the grand launch of TCC The Chill Café and the thrilling Sky Swing, first of its kind in the Philippines with Swiveling Drop Experience. This landmark event marked a significant enhancement to Montefrio’s promise as “Your Highland Escape,” blending relaxation with adventure in a breathtaking mountain setting.
The celebration was attended by the Board of Directors of CPRP Group of Companies, the Salazar family, and distinguished guests, with the program hosted by Miss Jecelin Pailano. The day began with a solemn blessing and mass led by Pastor Eric Gometer, which included blessings for the TCC The Chill Cafe, the Sky Swing, and the resort’s new ATV units.

He also hinted at ongoing developments in the resort’s current second area, promising more exciting experiences in the near future.The event featured a speech from the Department of Tourism Region XI, represented by ARD Judy Colaljo on behalf of Regional Director Tanya Rabat Tan. The DOT expressed congratulations and highlighted the significance of Montefrio’s developments as a boost to local tourism in Digos City and Davao del Sur province. The new attractions were recognized as symbols of innovation and resilience that contribute to the region’s economic recovery and tourism competitiveness.

The Chairman Emeritus, Mr. Ponciano Salazar, delivered an inspiring message celebrating the resort’s progress and vision. Following the speeches, guests enjoyed a sumptuous lunch featuring traditional Filipino dishes served by the homegrown restaurant Restonante, including pot roast beef, chicken cahsseure, cream of broccoli soup and many more, complemented by an array of desserts crafted by Café Frio.
In the afternoon, guests, media, and partners experienced the thrill of the Sky Swing, which features three levels: Friendly at 40 feet, Thrill at 60 feet, and Extreme at 100 feet. Pricing is set at ₱400 for single riders and ₱700 for tandem rides. The Sky Swing operates daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., alongside TCC The Chill Café.
An ATV experience was also offered along the Highland Conqueror route, part of the Davao Adventure Challenge Season 2. The extreme 100-foot drop on the Sky Swing elicited a mix of screams, excitement, and unforgettable fun from participants and onlookers alike.
At around 2 p.m., Montefrio’s executive chefs; Chef Danilo Naranjo, pastry Chef Jane Ruadiel, and Trisha Hetotoa; showcased exclusive menu offerings at TCC, featuring Filipino favorites such as Pork Humba, Pork Adobo, Beef Pot Roast and many more as daily offerings in the cafe. One of the newest highlight was the dessert Tupig with Vanilla Ice Cream, a chewy and Smoky Filipino rice cake made from Glutinous rice coconut milk and buko. Prices range from ₱200 to ₱400, suitable for solo diners or pairs. The café also presented specialty coffee drinks
like Irish Caffè Latte, Butterscotch Latte, Café Frio Matcha and more, rounding out a delightful culinary experience.
