DAVAO CITY — The 16th Davao Mega Travel Sale (DMTS)opened on February 27, 2026 at the Activity Center of Ayala Malls Abreeza, gathering key players from the tourism industry and travel enthusiasts eager to secure exclusive deals.
Organized by the Davao Travel Agencies Association (DTAA), the three-day event highlights this year’s theme, “Jetsetting to the World,” reflecting Davao’s growing connectivity to global destinations and the renewed confidence of travelers exploring both local and international horizons.

Industry Leaders Highlight Tourism Growth
In his opening message, DTAA President Gian Carlo Caguiat underscored the steady growth of the Davao Mega Travel Sale since its inception in 2008, noting its continued contribution to strengthening the tourism economy in Davao and beyond.

Department of Tourism Regional Director Tanya Rabat-Tan shared an optimistic outlook on the region’s tourism development, emphasizing collaboration between government and private stakeholders.

City Tourism Operations Office Head Willenito Tormis Jr. encouraged travelers to explore and support local destinations, highlighting Davao City’s role as a dynamic tourism hub.
Philippine Airlines Vice President for Sales Justin Warby reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to providing accessible and competitive travel options in support of the event.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Davao-based emcee Brandy Fuentes.
