NABUNTURAN, DAVAO DE ORO — Maragusan marked its 48th Founding Anniversary with a vibrant celebration highlighted by the launching of its new tourism brand, “Experience Fun in Maragusan!”, showcasing the municipality’s rich culture and tourism potential.

Thousands of spectators – locals and tourists alike – flocked to the Municipal Cultural Center last November 25 for the culminating festivities, which also featured the Indak-Hudyaka sa P’yagsawitan Competition participated in by schools across the municipality as part of the 30th P’yagsawitan Festival.

The competition drew louder cheers after 1st District Representative Maricar Zamora-Mabanglo added a P50,000 cash prize for each competing group, a gesture warmly welcomed by the participants who expressed gratitude for the additional reward.

In her message, Cong. Maricar conveyed her joy and unwavering support for Maragusan’s continued progress, particularly in strengthening tourism, empowering the youth, and advancing programs that create opportunities for its people.
The celebration reflected the municipality’s commitment to growth, community pride and the collective hope for a more dynamic and “malamboong” Maragusan in the years ahead. PICTO-IPRD
