More than 1,300 beneficiaries from the municipalities of Maragusan, Mawab, Nabunturan, and New Bataan received financial assistance through the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) program on Monday, November 24, held simultaneously at the Provincial Capitol and the Mawab Municipal Gym.
The recipients were those identified by their respective local government units whose homes were either partially or totally damaged as a result of the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck the region on October 10.

The financial aid was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Governor Raul G. Mabanglo, Representative Maricar Zamora-Mabanglo, and Representative Jhong Ceniza, whose initiative led to the approval of the ECT request by the National Government through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Beneficiaries expressed their deep gratitude for the assistance, which is expected to provide immediate relief as they work to recover and rebuild their homes and livelihoods.

Governor Mabanglo assured the public that the provincial government will continue to prioritize the needs of the most affected families. He emphasized their ongoing efforts to deliver support and accelerate recovery initiatives for those severely impacted by the disaster.
“We will not stop until every affected resident receives the help they need. Our commitment is to ensure a quicker recovery and a stronger future for Davao de Oro,” Governor Mabanglo stated.
