DAVAO DE ORO — The Provincial Government of Davao de Oro has officially launched the Davao de Oro Integrated Referral Information System (DDO-IRIS), a breakthrough initiative that modernizes and accelerates the patient referral process across the province.

The new system streamlines coordination from Barangay Health Stations (BHS) to Rural Health Units (RHUs) and provincial hospitals, ensuring faster patient navigation, more accurate medical data recording, and improved hospital readiness through timely information and unified assessment procedures.
The rollout builds on the earlier implementation of the DDO E-Referral System, developed by the Provincial Information and Communications Technology Office (PICTO) and the Provincial Health Office (PHO). This digital initiative has been progressively adopted to enhance efficiency and strengthen the quality of health services provided to Davaoeños.

Governor Raul G. Mabanglo has expressed strong support for the program, highlighting DDO-IRIS as a vital component of Davao de Oro’s commitment to Universal Health Care. By embracing digital transformation, the province continues to lead in creating responsive, accessible, and future-ready health systems.
