Davao Region – The Department of Tourism Region XI (DOT-XI) has officially launched the second season of the Davao Adventure Challenge (DAC), offering new destinations, exciting activities, and more opportunities to showcase Davao as one of the country’s top adventure hubs.

Building on the success of its first season, which gathered over 1,400 participants nationwide, Season 2 introduces fresh adventure sites, including trekking in Banay-Banay, Davao Oriental, expanded dive spots, and other activities being finalized with local government partners.

The challenge highlights the Davao Region’s wide range of outdoor experiences from climbing the iconic Mt. Apo, diving in Samal and Pujada Bay, and flying on ultralights in Mati City, to white-water rafting in Davao City, and canyoneering in Maragusan and Kapalong. These activities not only excite adventure seekers but also support local guides, communities, and tourism businesses.

Participants can register online at dotxievents.com, select their chosen challenges, and complete them to earn points. Points can be exchanged for e-badges, recognition, and rewards, making the experience both fun and meaningful.

DOT-XI Regional Director Tanya Rabat-Tan shared that the DAC is more than just a campaign. It promotes sustainable adventure tourism while encouraging Filipinos and international visitors to discover the natural beauty and hidden gems of Davao Region.

Season 2 officially opens with its “Adventures for Everyone” an invitation to both first-time explorers and seasoned travelers to push their limits, enjoy new experiences, and create lasting memories in one of the Philippines’ most vibrant regions.
