Cindy Obeñita Now Leads Misamis Oriental Tourism, Pledges People-First Tourism

MISAMIS ORIENTAL – 𝑪𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂 𝑭𝒂𝒚𝒆 𝑬𝒍𝒍𝑜 𝑶𝒃𝒆𝒏̃𝒊𝒕𝒂, a seasoned tourism professional and Supervising Tourism Operations Officer, has been officially appointed as the new Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Tourism Department by Governor Juliette T. Uy.

Obeñita, who holds the titles of Miss Intercontinental 2021, Miss Cagayan de Oro, and a celebrated Filipina beauty queen, brings both global recognition and heartfelt local pride to her new role. With over eight years of government service, Obeñita has consistently played a key role in strengthening the province’s tourism programs through inclusive planning, event coordination, and grassroots engagement. Her appointment is seen as a strategic move to sustain and elevate Misamis Oriental’s status as one of Northern Mindanao’s prime destinations.

In a public post, the Misamis Oriental Provincial Tourism Department expressed its full support and heartfelt congratulations, stating:
