The political battleground in Davao City has extended into social media, with the camp of mayoral candidate Atty. Karlo Nograles denouncing the spread of fake news aimed at discrediting him.

Nograles’ team has called out two circulating news items as deliberate misinformation, warning the public to be vigilant against false reports.

“Dili tanan trending nga balita nga imong mabasahan tinuod! Hilabi na kung kini kusog kaayo ipangpakalat. Susiha usa ang tinubdan ug hibal-i ang sakto nga kasayuran!” Nograles said, urging Davaoeños to verify sources before believing and sharing news.

“Think before you click, think before you share!” he added, emphasizing the importance of responsible online behavior.

As the 2025 elections draw near, political rivalries in Davao City continue to heat up, with both sides expected to engage in intense campaigning—both online and on the ground.
