Davao City, Philippines – Davao City is hosting the Giving Machines, joining Manila and Cebu in this global Christmas initiative led by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Installed at Ayala Malls Abreeza, the Giving Machines have already been launched, allowing Davaoeños to contribute to charitable efforts that will impact thousands worldwide.

This event also kicks off the 2024 season of Giving Machines across the Philippines, promoting the spirit of giving to help communities in need throughout the country.

The initiative, which honors the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, encourages people worldwide to make meaningful contributions during the Christmas season.Since 2017, Giving Machines have generated over $32 million in donations across 106 locations in 13 countries. In the Philippines alone, these machines have raised substantial support for local charities since their introduction in 2018, with last year’s donations exceeding PHP 700,000 from more than 4,500 donors in Manila and Cebu. In addition, the Church contributed PHP 500,000 to each of six charities, totaling PHP 3.7 million in nationwide aid.

The Giving Machines offer a unique donation experience, functioning like vending machines where every purchase directly supports local charities. Donations can now be made via cash or e-payment options like GCash and AliPay, enhancing accessibility for all.In Davao, donors can support the Mabuhay Foundation, UNICEF Philippines, and Ateneo de Davao University, with available donations including educational supplies, hygiene kits, and other essential resources. Cebu’s Giving Machines open on November 16 at Robinsons Galleria Cebu, and Manila’s on November 23 at Ayala Malls Trinoma. All machines will operate until January 1, 2025.

Through the Giving Machines, the people of Davao now have an impactful way to support those in need this Christmas season, with 100% of donations going directly to local charitable causes.
