Davao City, August 11, 2023 – Get Ready for an action-packed month filled with entertainment, competitions, and fandom galore as La Herencia Davao Art and Events Pavilion powered by the Davao Art Kollective and Alter-Moderne Events proudly presents the 2nd Davao Pop Culture Mania 2023, a one of a kind experience and spectacular celebration of toys, hobbies, collectibles, gaming, anime, manga, and everything pop culture! This month-long extravaganza promises to be an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages and build positively engaged and active communities for the youth and young at heart. This year’s event will be unique as it will be held for three consecutive weekends. Here are the following highlights:

Week 1 (August 11-13) “Toys, Hobbies, Collectibles”
Immerse yourself in a world of nostalgia and discover a treasure trove of toys, hobbies, and collectibles that will bring joy both young and young-at-heart from various eras. Join the fun in the raffle draw and win exciting prizes.

  • Lany, Lauv & Swifties Concert Music Extravaganza: Get ready to sing your heart out and dance to the beats of the hottest musical sensations, About Us Band and Maya Sympha, in an electrifying concert that will leave you breathless. Brace yourselves for an unforgettable evening as we present unplugged sessions and performances by acclaimed artists Lany, Lauv, and a special tribute to Taylor Swift by devoted “Swifties”.
  • Photo Walls and Food Trucks: Capture picture-perfect moments and strike a pose at our Instagram-worthy photo walls and savor delectable treats treat your taste buds to delectable delights from a variety of food trucks.
  • Digital Art Contest and Drawing Contest: Unleash your creativity, artistic flair and participate in our digital art and drawing contests, where talent and creativity will be celebrated as amazing prizes await the winners!
  • Art In the Park: Live sketching performances by acclaimed artist at the Jardin.

Week 2 (August 18-20) “Arcade, Card and E-Sports”
Relive and delight in the nostalgia of classic arcade games and challenge your friends in exciting card games battles and competitive e-sports tournaments.

  • Mobile Legends, Call of Duty Mobile , Tekken 7 , and Street Fighter 6 Tournament : Compete against the best players and show off your skills and adrenaline-pumping and intense gaming tournaments.
  • Tuplok (Mechanical Keyboards) Exhibition: Discover the artistry and innovation behind mechanical keyboards with Tuplok, a showcase of cutting –edge designs and functionality. Immerse yourself in the world of mechanical keyboards, where design and innovation come together in a remarkable display of creativity and technology.

Week 3 (August 25-27) “Cosplay, Anime and Manga”

Embark on a journey into the captivating world of cosplay, anime, and manga with a series of events that will ignite your imagination and passion for these beloved art forms

  • Cosplay Party – Heroes & Villains: Experience an enchanting night of elegance and fantasy a tour Cosplay Ball Party, where cosplayers bring their beloved characters to life in a grand spectacle of creativity and craftsmanship. Step into a realm of sophistication and allure as ourvenue transforms into a magical setting fit for iconic heroes and nefarious villains alike.
  • Cyberpunk and Harajuku Street Fashion Showcase: Witness the fusion of futuristic cyberpunk style and the electric fashion of Harajuku in a runaway event that pushes the boundaries of creativity celebrates individuality and self-expression.
  • Anime/J-Pop Open Mic: Unleash your inner performer and take the stage and let your love for anime and J-pop shine during our open mic event, where fans can showcase their talents and appreciation for these genres.
  • Anime Era Period: Travel through time and explore different anime eras, from classics to modern-day hits, in an exhibition that celebrates the evolution of anime.
