Davao City, Philippines, May 28, 2023 – The Go! Volunteer Expo organized by iVolunteer, in collaboration with SM Cares, SM Supermalls, and Cravewell, was indeed a significant event for promoting volunteering with great cause in the Philippines. After the pandemic forced people to stay at home, this expo has just marked it’s great come back of in-person volunteer activities.

It was a two-day event of March 27 and 28, 2023 that brought together nonprofit organizations and volunteers in a single venue at SM City Davao. Its purpose is to match the needs and interests of the volunteers with various nonprofit organizations. This everyone’s connection through this expo aimed to reignite people’s passion for helping others and encourage them to make volunteering a part of their lifestyle, rather than just participating on an occasional, need-based basis.

While the expo has been held in Manila for the past two years, this year marks an exciting expansion as it has a separate leg in Davao City. This expansion to other cities, starting with Davao, is a significant milestone for the event, as it demonstrates a broader reach and impact beyond Manila.
“For us, Go! Volunteer 2023 is significant in a way that it ushers in the start of bringing
back physical volunteering,” said iVolunteer Executive Director JB Tan. “We’ve continued
our volunteer activities online during the pandemic when we were locked in our homes; but now, we’re saying we can volunteer in person again.”
“We all started volunteering because of a personal reason, either to try an experience or
find connections. Volunteering is the perfect way to discover something new for your life,”
Tan added.

Overall, the Go! Volunteer Expo was a purposeful event that not only encourages Filipinos to engage in volunteer work but also aims to create a lasting impact by making volunteering a part of people’s everyday lives.

This was a good read.
This is what I found out in your post
This is a great initiative to promote volunteerism and inspire people to help others, especially after the pandemic. It’s good to see an expansion of the event to other cities, starting with Davao, which shows a broader reach and impact beyond Manila.
